Paul Garnier
Day-Date, Automatic
Circa 1970

SOLD

Paul Garnier, founded in Paris in 1825, was particularly well-known in the 1960s and 1970s for producing wristwatches with eye-catching designs and highly reliable movements.

With its TV screen shaped case and integrated lug sections, this day-date model in New Old Stock condition is both bold and super comfortable. The futuristic dial is equally special, with its distinct pattern formed by the elongated lines of the minutes and seconds.  They serve as both contrast and focal point. The recessed gilt hour markers add a touch of elegance.

The case has a snap back with its original gasket and measures 35mm x 35mm without the lugs. The length, including the lug sections, is 41mm.

The signed self-winding movement with 25 jewels and shock-proof device is based on the German Kasper & Co. ebauche.
