Universal Genève
Uni-Compax Chronograph
circa 1945

$2,875.00

The Compax line debuted in the 1930s with great success due to the variety of stylistic configurations and consistent quality of mechanisms. The balanced layout of this two-register stopwatch with luminous dial and hands captures the essence of a classic vintage chronograph.

This 14k Uni-Compax with square pushers, tapered lugs, and blue Tachymeter scale showcases what this master of complications is best known for. The watch is powered by the highly dependable caliber 285 movement with manual winding. It is housed within a comfortably sized 35mm wide case with snap back.

The design and condition of the dial contribute to this stopwatch’s  strong retro appeal. Its bold Arabic numerals, shapely Lozenge hands, and finely patterned registers round out the long list of features. These design elements, along with the stopwatch function, are iconic tool watch elements, while the gold case exudes a note of elegance and luxury. This uncommon combination of both function and dressiness highlights the watch’s great versatility.
