Omega Genève
Cal. 565, Automatic
Quickset Date
circa 1970

SOLD

This stainless-steel timepiece from the Genève Collection has it all: a design that is as timeless as similarly restrained lines of Patek Philippe’s famed Calatrava model, and current – 1970’s style – given the gorgeous deep-blue color of the sunburst dial. The added benefits of a self-winding movement and a quickset date, and the condition of the unaltered dial and unpolished case complete the list of sought-after attributes.

The Genève Collection was introduced in the 1950’s as a way of differentiating the firm’s watches which were produced exclusively at the Geneva facility. Amongst these, the 24-jewel caliber 565 movement was Omega’s first mechanism to include a quickset date function. The diameter of this case with screw-back and straight lugs measures 35mm.
